since waking up this morning i have received no less than 5 compliments on these shoes from strangers. forever 21 guys. i was hesitant to purchase them because i hate bows as a general rule and feel like they’re overused by grown ass women who have no place wearing bows. but they’re gold and orange. couldn’t say no to that.

how to remain true to your personal style, the day after an autumn snowstorm:
1. black sweater tights. if you can get them a size larger than you would normally wear, do it. it makes the stockings more opaque and thus WARMER.
2. crappy ballet flats. these are from topshop and they’re not crappy….i just needed them to get a little wet so that they’d stretch out. it worked in the past and i will it to work this time.
3. i nabbed a missoni for target cosby looking sweater that’s two sizes too big for me and THUS PERFECT.
4. leopard faux fur coat with hood and sleeves made to fit an 8 year old.
5. cashmere scarf. this is a staple in my wardrobe once the temp goes below 50 degrees so this goes without saying.
6. sunglasses. always.

this isn’t a happy halloween post for my fellow hangover followers….this is me trying to determine if this lady gaga meets flavor flav-esque look is worth pursuing in my daily life.
kidding. interesting idea though with the alarm clock with barbie legs as time keepers attached to a chain, right? a strain on the neck for certain. but interesting.
